Take practice into the world

The Missions

Apply development techniques to real work and bring the lessons back responsibly.

Adapt the technique to the work

A mission applies practiced development techniques to a real goal. The developer defines what success means, selects a suitable stack, manages permissions and verifies the outcome.

  1. Agree on the brief

Set the outcome, constraints, responsibilities, permissions and acceptance criteria with the people involved.

  2. Develop and verify

Keep a trace of decisions and evidence; use independent or qualified review where the work requires it.

  3. Learn without exposing private work

Share a retrospective only when permitted, removing confidential material and respecting ownership and licenses.

Prepare for a mission

A dedicated mission playbook is being developed. The existing product training includes briefs, acceptance criteria and delivery practice.
