Build Sprints

Challenges.

The new kind of hackathon. Take a real brief, build it with AI agents, and show how well you own the whole product. No all-night coding. Free for everyone.

Find a challenge

Each challenge is a real brief with its own page: the goal, the rules, how it is judged, and how to hand in your work.

What is a Build Sprint?

A hackathon for the way developers work now

A developer no longer mostly types code. A developer owns a product and steers AI agents that build it. A Build Sprint practises exactly that.

  • You, or a small team

Work alone or with up to three people. Plus AI agents that do the building.
  • A real brief

A clear problem to solve, with rules and a list of what to hand in.
  • Judged on the Product Package

Not on how much code you typed. On how well you own the whole product.

How it works

Four steps from brief to submission

  1. Pick an open brief

Read the brief in full: the goal, who it is for, the rules, and what to hand in.

  2. Plan it yourself

Write the epics and the roadmap in your own words. People write epics; AI never does.

  3. Steer the agents

Break the work into small issues. Let AI agents draft the changes. Read every change before you accept it.

  4. Package and submit

Put your Product Package in a public repository and send us the link. Each brief explains exactly how.

Judging uses the six skills of the Product Package rubric. Rewards are being finalised; we will not promise any prize before it is real.
