Curiosity Research Corporation

About CRC.

The U.S. education nonprofit behind Developer Dojo.

Our mission

Make the world more curious

Curiosity Research Corporation (CRC) is a U.S. education nonprofit. We study how curiosity works in people, and we turn what we learn into teaching that helps people learn the skills of the future. Our wider work is described on the CRC website.

Developer Dojo is one of CRC's programs. It is a free training academy for the new kind of developer. A developer no longer mostly types code. A developer owns a whole product (the customers, the plan, the brand, the website and the roadmap) and steers AI agents that do much of the building.

What Developer Dojo does

  • Teaches a six-week Developer path, then advanced Master Developer work, and trains Sensei who coach others.
  • Publishes a free Library of rules, standards and templates.
  • Runs Build Sprints and, when they are scheduled, live sessions.
  • Is built for juniors, career changers, developers moving to AI agents, and mentors. Many of our learners read English as a second language, so we write in plain words.

How we work

Three promises

  • Free for anyone

Training is free. A person with a laptop and curiosity can start today.
  • Open by default

Guides, templates and standards are public. Work lives in git, where it can be reviewed.
  • People stay in charge

AI agents help build. People decide what to build and why, and say when AI was used.

Our status, stated plainly

CRC has applied to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service for recognition as a 501(c)(3) organization. That application is pending. We have not been told that we are tax-exempt, so we do not say we are, and we do not describe gifts as tax-deductible.

Developer Dojo is not an accredited school or college. A Developer Dojo certificate shows that someone completed our program and had their work reviewed. It is not a degree.

How the program is funded

Developer Dojo is sponsored by Reveltek. That sponsorship is what keeps the training free. Organizations that want to help can read how to become a sponsor.

Open and reviewable

The built website is published in the open on GitHub. We do not publish invented numbers, testimonials, events or people. If a page has nothing real to show yet, it says so.
